June 2019: From the Editor

Hi all,

First of all, I’d like to welcome the new people who joined us after the Keto Pizza Demo!  Welcome, we hope to see you at more of our events.

This month the Eugene Chapter has our three regular events:

Plus I’ve included information about other issues and local events you might be interested in:

Hope to see you at some of our events and invite a friend!

This comes to us from the Weston A. Price Foundation:

A Friend of Vaccine Rights Continues to Need Your Urgent Help

https://www.westonaprice.org/a-friend-of-vaccine-rights-continues-to-need-your-urgent-help/

Recently we alerted you to the fact that vaccine rights attorney Alan Phillips spent time in jail for contempt of court because he refused to breach attorney-client privilege by providing the North Carolina State Bar with confidential client files.

Unfortunately, Mr. Philip’s situation has gotten worse.   He was sent back to jail for the third time on Tuesday, May 21 – where he still resides. He has also had his license to practice law suspended.

Mr. Phillips is a nationally recognized expert and presenter on vaccine policy and law. He is the nation’s only attorney whose practice is focused solely on vaccine exemptions and legislative activism.

For at least the past two years, the North Carolina Bar has been investigating Mr. Phillips; unable to identify any evidence of wrongdoing, the Bar has nevertheless filed a lawsuit against Mr. Phillips in an unjustified attempt to revoke his license to practice law.

It is our understanding that Mr. Phillips has filed several complaints, requesting that an independent review look into the State Bar’s actions in this matter, yet his grievances have been dismissed.

We can only assume Mr. Phillips is being harassed because of his chosen specialty – vaccine law.

Will you please help our friend today?

TAKE ACTION:

1)     Contact North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and ask him to initiate an independent investigation into the North Carolina State Bar’s misconduct.

You can call the Governor at 919-814-2000 or 800-662-7952 or email him via this online form: https://governor.nc.gov/contact/contact-governor-cooper

Please note that calls are more effective than emails.

(Donations to his legal defense fund through https://barwatchonline.org/donations/ have been temporarily halted)

What to bring?

Anything from Nourishing Traditions, the Healthy 4 Life booklet or Recipes of the Week would be wonderful.  A simple homemade meal made from scratch using natural fats is always a great contribution.

Some examples include: a roasted chicken or other meat, meat and vegetable casserole, a dish made with soaked grains, soup using homemade bone broth, pastured egg quiche or other egg dish, organic salad with homemade dressing, steamed or roasted vegetables with butter or cream sauce, fermented vegetables, fresh or cooked fruit with raw whipped cream.  If you come to the potlucks regularly, please try to bring a dish from a different category every so often.

Bring enough to share with everyone and be sure to include some traditional fats!

Children and guests welcome.  Please bring dishes and serving utensils for your dish.  Thanks!
