From the Editor: September 2015

Hi all,

Here we are with another newsletter coming out a week later than I’d like (remember you can always volunteer if you want to help).  We do have events coming up so keep checking the newsletter homepage on the website for the latest news.

We had a lovely potluck in the park in August, come see what you missed!  Recipes for Grainfree Zucchini Bread and Paleo Garlic-Herb Crackers included:

The early-bird special for conference pre-registration ends soon!

WISE TRADITIONS 2015

Sixteenth International Conference of the Weston A. Price Foundation
Anaheim, California

One of our favorite speakers will be speaking all day.  Check out the details:

There will be at least a couple of us from Eugene going to the conference this year, so if you’d like to share a room or ride, let us know.

Eugene Chapter, WAPF – September Events

And now on to our Eugene events for this month!

This month’s potluck is at the home of Janice, a former farmer and WAPF chapter leader with lots of experience raising grass-fed beef.  She will be discussing what questions you should ask your farmer to find out the most you can about their farming practices.

This lecture will discuss the scope of iodine deficiency as it relates not only to thyroid illness but to common cancers such as cancer of the breast and the thyroid.  Iodine helps cancer cells to return to normal.  Iodine deficiency may be the underlying cause of the cancer epidemic currently affecting our country.

Upcoming Eugene Chapter, WAPF – October Events

Hope to see you all soon at our upcoming events!
