January 2012: From the Editor

Happy New Year!

2012 is already shaping up to be another event filled, exciting year for the Eugene Chapter, Weston A. Price Foundation.  I hope you will all take the time to come to a local event this year.  We will have lots of opportunities to get together in person to share ideas and information (and food!). We need a few people to step forward and volunteer to host upcoming potlucks.  Our traditional day is the second Monday of each month (if this does not work for you, please suggest an alternate date).  Please look at your schedule and see if you can host a potluck. Below are our planned upcoming events:

  • January 9 – Potluck/Meeting
  • January 14 – “Fun with Fermentation” Event at the Wow Hall
  • January 20 – DVD “The Oiling of America
  • January ~22 or 23 (date to be confirmed) – 2012 Planning meeting
  • February 13  – Potluck (host needed)
  • February 17 or 24 (date to be confirmed) – DVD
  • March 12 – Potluck (host needed)
  • March 23 – (date to be confirmed) – DVD

Also in this issue:

  • More thoughts and photos from the Wise Traditions 2011 Conference (Lisa).
  • Local Blogs – I would also like to point out that I have added a new section in the sidebar (look to the right) called “Blogs by Local Eugene Chapter Members”

So far we have two!

  • GNOWFGLINS “God’s Natural, Organic, Whole Foods, Grown Locally, In Season”
  • Squash Practice “A slow journey to relearn our lost agricultural heritage”

Check out these blogs, and if you are a local person with your own blog let us know about it.  When we get a few more I will probably make a new page for them.

Start here, and scroll down to read everything.

Enjoy!
