HB 3063

Latest news: May 13, 2019

Senate Democrats agreed to drop the bill in order to get Republicans back to work: Willamette Week

Stay strong and vigilant, there is sure to be another attempt in the future.

Do You Know What HB 3063 Is?

HB (House Bill) 3063 is a bill in Oregon that if passed into law would remove all non-medical vaccine exemptions for school aged children in Oregon.  Any child who is not completely up to date on vaccines would not be allowed to attend school or any school function (field trips, sports games, ceremonies, etc.)

Even if they are only missing ONE VACCINE.

Which schools in Oregon will be affected by this bill?

  • All public schools
  • All charter schools
  • All private schools
  • All child care certified facilities
  • All Oregon Colleges and Universities
  • Some homeschool co-ops (if held in a child care certified facility)
  • Online schools (field trip participation will be revoked)

This bill promotes segregation and will hold a child’s education hostage until they comply.

If you support the right to medical choice, personal and religious freedoms, THEN YOU DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BILL.

HB 3063:

Would kick 31,500 students out of school.

Rally in Salem, Oregon 2019:

I attended the rally on Tuesday ( watch it here), and then spent the night in order to attend the Public Hearing at the Ways & Means Subcommittee the next morning ( watch it here).

Senator Dallas Heard gave a very impassioned speech against the bill ( watch it here), as did Representative Cedric Hayden.  Heard, Hayden and Representative Duane Stark voted against the bill, unfortunately the rest of the subcommittee voted in favor.
