July 2013: From the Editor

Potluck & Food Demo:
For this month’s food demo, Lisa will demonstrate making salad dressings. There are virtually no good commercial salad dressings on the market. Even those labeled “olive oil” typically primarily use soy and canola oils. It is simple and easy to make your own!

Potluck Hosts Needed!
This is a volunteer-run organization!  One of the ways you can help is to host our monthly potluck.  Contact our potluck coordinator, Megan (541-344-7604 or email: richmeg@efn.org), to volunteer.

DVD – Introduction to the Work of Dr. Weston Price
Due to my illness, I had to postpone last month’s DVD showing, so I plan to show it this month.  I will be showing several short DVDs.  These are all excellent introductions to the work of Dr. Price and the Weston A. Price Foundation.  This would be a great time to bring a friend!

Reminder – The Wise Traditions Regional Conference is coming to Portland!:
September 21-22, 2013.  If you have never heard Sally Fallon Morell (author of Nourishing Traditions and founder of the Weston A. Price Foundation) speak in person, you owe it to yourself to go to this conference!  This is probably as close as the conference is ever going to get to Eugene!
