February 2013: From the Editor

First of all, I would like to welcome all the new people who signed up for this newsletter, either at the Fun with Fermentation Festival or by contacting us directly.

Welcome!

The Fun with Fermentation Festival was great fun.  It was so nice meeting and talking with so many of you!  The primary reason for this newsletter is to connect people in real life at our local events.  I hope you will take some time to explore around this newsletter/website and then come to some of our local events.

DVD: Sugar Addiction
Due to technical difficulties we will be reshowing the DVD Sugar Addiction in February.  Julia Ross gave three presentations at last years Conference, and we will be showing all three of them in the upcoming months.  If you can make it to all three showings, please do so.  They have great information on using amino acid supplements to combat addiction (sugar and other drugs), mood disorders and insomnia.  I have used them myself, and they really do work!

Cooking Class in March
Also I am pleased to announce, that for the first time ever the Eugene Chapter will be teaching a class on using nutrient-dense variety and organ meats!  Check out our Variety Meats Class coming March 23rd!
