2010 in Review
Wow, 2010 is almost over! Where does the time go?
The Eugene Chapter had another busy year. This year we:
- Published 10 online Newsletters
- Hosted 8 Potlucks
- Presented 9 Educational DVDs
- Taught 1 Fermentation Class
- Held 2 Community Food Preparation Workshops
- Staffed a Table at 1 Local Conference
- And in addition we packed and shipped Kraut Pounders, sold Nourishing Traditions cookbooks, signed up new members, updated the website, and sponsored the South Lane Chapter Leader to attend the Wise Traditions 2010 Conference.
Whew!
The Eugene Chapter is run completely by volunteer time and energy. We still need volunteers to host potlucks in the coming months. If you are able to host a potluck or community food preparation event please contact info@krautpounder.com .
“Popcorn Review” December 10th
This month’s DVD The Oiling of America by Sally Fallon Morrell will occur earlier than usual. While I usually try to reserve the 3rd or 4th Friday of the month for DVDs, this month the Market of Choice was full those times. So Please join us on December 10th.
Reminder – The Local Member Directory is Open to All Local People
The Eugene Chapter’s Local Member Directory (located at the end of each Newsletter), is now open to ALL businesses, not just those in the food, health and nutrition categories. There are no membership dues or requirements. We would like to encourage everyone to shop local and support each other, so please check out the current listings, and consider adding yourself to the directory.
