Dear Lisa,

As you have just heard, we are at a critical point in the movement against GMOs. In fact, this may be the single most important window of opportunity in the history of the cause. In order to take advantage of this pivotal moment, we need your help.

Nutiva, one of our favorite superfoods companies, was so inspired by our work that they have presented us with a challenge:

If we can raise $20,000 with help from supporters like you, they will match these funds dollar-for-dollar with a $20,000 gift, for a total of $40,000! Every single donation you give will be matched!

By making a donation between August 28 and September 6, you can double the impact of your support to the Institute for Responsible Technology.

With these funds, we will be able to launch the massive outreach campaign we’ve been planning to finally turn the corner in our movement. We have the power to end the use of GM ingredients in our food. Now is the time! This is not only an investment in our work at the IRT. This is an investment in our health, our environment, and our future!

Donate today before the matching funds run out!

Thank you so much for your support.

Everything You Have to Know About the Dangerous Genetically Modified Foods – Nov 11

Your Right To Know and GMO-Free Eugene present a film of a lecture by Jeffrey M. Smith from the Institute for Responsible Technology given to the Weston Price Foundation.

The film will be shown at:
Cozmic Pizza at 199 W 8th Street
Thursday, November 11th
6-8 PM

The Eugene Chapter WAPF presented this DVD in January, and we highly recommend that anyone who missed our showing attend now. It would be great to bring a friend to this movie, especially one that is NOT already committed to healthy food.

This presentation has a very powerful message. Jeffrey Smith not only shows the horrors of GMOs (and they are horrible), but he also left us with an inspiring message that with a little work we can tip the balance against GMO foods. Please come view this inspiring DVD, but plan to stay until the very end!

This DVD was recorded at the 2008 Wise Traditions Conference.

“If you haven’t already removed GMOs from your diet, get ready to make a change. Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) have been linked to thousands of toxic and allergic reactions, thousands of sick, sterile and dead livestock, and damage to virtually every organ and system studied in lab animals. Scientists who discovered problems have been fired, threatened and gagged, and reporters and critics have been silenced. Now you can learn the problems, find out how to protect yourself, and take powerful measures to help end the genetic engineering of our food supply.”

RSVP:
We need to have at least 5 people RSVP in order to reserve the space at Market of Choice, and there is a maximum of 25 seats available. So I strongly urge you to RSVP if you think you will be attending. If your plans change feel free to just show up, but only the first 25 people who have RSVP’d will have a space reserved.

We are requesting a $5-10 donation to the Eugene Chapter at the door.
(No one should miss a showing because of cost, so a sliding scale for low-income people is $1-4 or volunteer to help the Eugene Chapter).
