Handcrafts & Tea with WAPF

This is a new type of event.  The purpose is to give us all a chance to visit and get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere.  I call it one part relaxation, one part art therapy and two parts community building.  We will provide a space for local Eugene Chapter people to get together drink tea, talk and do something with our hands.  You don’t have to be artsy.  It is not about making anything it is about the experience of being together with time to get to know each other and make new friends.

Have you ever wanted to spend more time getting to know all the interesting people you meet at a Eugene Chapter potluck?  Have you ever wanted to hang out with people who share your interest in traditional food?  Have you ever wanted to drink tea, make arts & crafts and visit with like-minded friends?

I have.  So I created an evening for just such an event.  Please join me:

Tuesday, January 28, 2020
6:00 – 8:00 PM

Location:

Natural Grocers
201 Coburg Road
Eugene, OR 97401

Bring:

Nothing is required. I’ll bring adult coloring pages and markers, herbal tea and conversation!

If you want, please bring your crochet, knitting, doodling and drawing supplies or any other art supplies (that you can carry and clean up).  You don’t have to feel artistic, just have fun.

Topic:

Our topics will be anything we want to discuss!  We will check in with those of you who made tallow balm at our last demo and see if anyone has any questions.  Anything in the Food, Farming and Healing Arts arena is fair game.

Children and guests are welcome.

See you there!

April 16th: Iodine and Radiation Discussion

Despite major media’s apparent lost of interest in this topic, the crisis at the Fukushima Japanese nuclear reactor is far from over.  Many alternative health practitioners have made recommendations about taking iodine or other supplements (I posted one from Dr. Thomas Cowan here), and these recommendations have been flying about on the Internet.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss iodine, radiation and what we can do to protect our health from continuing long term exposure to radiation.  Join us for some lively discussion.
