Nourishing Our Children is a beautifully produced introduction to the work of Weston A. Price and the nutritional principles presented in Nourishing Traditions. Although it is aimed at parents who are still feeding young children, the information is important for everyone. You do not need to be a parent to come.
Sandrine Hann previously worked as a family therapist, art therapist, teacher, and as an educational therapist in private practice before she established Nourishing Our Children in 2005. Convinced that the children she worked with were well-fed but malnourished, Sandrine closed her private practice to devote herself to the cause of educating and inspiring parents to return to the whole, natural foods that have produced generation after generation of healthy children.

Plant-based life styles are becoming popular. Is there a problem with that? In this DVD, Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride will be talking about the value of plant foods versus animal foods and what people should know before making a decision to become a vegetarian or a vegan.
“There is a mountain of information available on the benefits of eating vegetables, as they contain a plethora of wonderful nutrients. They should be eaten every day, both cooked and raw. Just as with our meat and dairy, we need to be sure our fruits and vegetables are as fresh and clean as possible, raised and prepared properly.”
Dr. Campbell-McBride graduated with honors as a medical doctor in 1984 from Bashkir Medical University in Russia. In the following years she gained a postgraduate degree in neurology and completed a second postgraduate degree in human nutrition at Sheffield University, UK.
In 2004 she published a book Gut And Psychology Syndrome. Natural Treatment of Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Depression and Schizophrenia where she explores the connection between the patient’s physical state and brain function. The book gives full details of the GAPS Nutritional Protocol, highly successful in treating patients with learning disabilities and other mental problems. A second edition was published in 2010, and the book has been translated into twelve languages.
In her clinic Dr. Campbell-McBride works with many patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, stroke and other complications of atherosclerosis. She has become acutely aware of the existing confusion about nutrition and these conditions, which spurred an intensive study into…

The Story of Northstar Bison – #itsallaboutthegrass
I attended this talk in person at the last Wise Traditions Conference, and have to say I found it very moving and inspiring. They are raising bison for meat to restore bison to the prairie. They showed a movie with beautiful images of their bison, and their high commitment to the ethical treatment of the animals and the land.
Northstar Bison is a family owned and operated, vertically integrated enterprise, that was birthed in 1994 with the purchase of two young bison from Bluemound State Park in Minnesota, to fulfill a life-long dream. Shortly after, we added six bred cows which contributed to the growth of the herd to fourteen. During that time, we decided to market the meat directly and formed the distribution division. In pursuit of learning how to raise and produce the highest quality meat, we realized that 100% grass-fed bison was the best all-around-good for land, animals and people. This became our motto. Our primary commitment is to producing quality product and offering excellent customer service.
The Story of Northstar Bison – #itsallaboutthegrass
Today, we have 2500 acres of owned and rented grasslands in Northwest Wisconsin and East Central Minnesota, where 2000 bison are grazed under holistic resource management principles. In addition, we have developed very close working relationships with the ranchers in the upper Midwest who believe in the grass-fed production model and meet our criteria for raising this wonderful icon of the prairie.
“To keep the momentum rolling on our ambitious goal of surging the number of bison in North America to 1 Million, every Wednesday we want to encourage you to join us in eating something bison. Eating bison to save bison seems counter intuitive, right?? Simply put; Eating Bison is Voting for Bison. Demand for bison meat encourages private ranchers, native tribes and even parks across the country to stock and introduce more bison. Bison 1 Million is a beautiful give and take circle; one bison to sustain = many more bison to roam free. Just as it was 200 years ago. Join us. Eat Bison. Restore Bison.”@northstarbison

The foods that baby eats during his first two years will largely determine his health throughout the rest of his life. Nutrient-density is key for giving baby a good start; that means liver and egg yolks, not applesauce and rice cereal. This talk will give practical advice and also provide concerns about exclusive breastfeeding and baby-led weaning.

Few illnesses are as frightening and feared as Alzheimer’s disease. It seems to strike indiscriminately and the best conventional medicine has to offer are medications that are largely ineffective at slowing or stopping disease progression. However, the scientific literature is replete with research referring to Alzheimer’s disease as “type 3 diabetes” or “diabetes of the brain,” owing to the fundamental role of impaired glucose metabolism and insulin signaling in the brain. This talk will explore the concept of Alzheimer’s as a “metabolic condition, with a metabolic solution” one based on providing struggling neurons with a powerful alternative fuel source: ketones. This can be accomplished by following a low-carbohydrate, nutrient-dense diet containing the traditional nourishing fats and good quality proteins and vegetables. Berger will cover genetic factors related to risk for Alzheimer’s, the failure of the pharmaceutical paradigm and will provide a blueprint for dietary and lifestyle interventions to improve the lives of those with Alzheimer’s and their loved ones and caregivers.
Amy Berger is a U.S. Air Force veteran, certified nutrition specialist and nutritional therapy practitioner who specializes in using low-carbohydrate nutrition to help people reclaim their vitality through eating delicious foods. She loves showing people that getting and staying well doesn’t require starvation, deprivation or living at the gym. Her motto is, “real people need real food!” She blogs at www.tuitnutrition.com, where she writes about a wide range of health and nutrition-related topics, such as insulin, metabolism, weight loss, thyroid function, and more. She is the author of The Alzheimer’s Antidote: Using a Low-Carb, High-Fat Diet to Fight Alzheimer’s Disease, Memory Loss, and Cognitive Decline.

In light of the tremendous rise in birth defects, autism, learning disabilities, autoimmunity and cancer in children living in industrialized nations, especially the U.S., it is imperative that preconception couples take preparation for conception seriously. Mindful conception is just that. It is preparatory, calculating and intentional. Preparatory involves proper gentle detoxification. Calculating considers proper child spacing. Intentional requires optimal nutrition using real food?foods known for their ability to support hormone function and encourage healthy offspring. Join Kim as she shares how to pursue a healthy pregnancy and begin life well for your children.

Learn how to hand-craft sourdough bread that has been fermented for forty-two hours. This bread is not overly sour and has a light and airy texture. This is a no-knead technique that anyone can do at home to produce beautiful artisan bread.
Min Kim
has been a domestic engineer for the past twenty-two years. Upon learning about traditional foods and the Weston A. Price Foundation five years ago, she pledged to her family that food would taste better than what they were used to. This led her to learn and perfect a sourdough bread technique that not only is nourishing and kind to the body, but also is flavorful without being overly sour, and has a light and airy texture. She now provides real sourdough bread to local families and also teaches classes on how to make this bread at home.
