March Newsletter 2017

Hi all,Spring

We took a few months off this winter, but now are ready to start up this Spring with a great potluck and more  events to follow soon!

I’d like to welcome all the new people who’ve joined us recently, and invite everyone to attend our upcoming events.

Location:

Home of Marvy & Howard
2880 Blacktail Drive, Eugene, OR 97405
Phone: 541-515-6591

Directions:

“Easiest way is to go South on City View all the way up to W29th.  Make a right and follow the road till it ends at Blacktail.  Make a right and the third house on the left is our home.  Parking on OUR side of the street only.”

They have a shoes-off house, but have slippers to provide.  Please bring your own clean slippers if you prefer.

Demo:

Marvy has offered to do our demo: “I can do a food demo of making fried cauliflower rice and perhaps will serve fried trout, which I have caught last year.  They are simple dishes that take but 15 minutes from start to finish as I can do them simultaneously.  I have a teaching kitchen, so am amply equipped with an area fit for 20-30 people easily.”

Note: Although properly prepared grains are part of the Wise Traditions diet, there are usually at least a few gluten-free or paleo options available.

Potluck Hosts Needed:

If you can offer your house, please contact our potluck coordinator, Megan radzillameg@gmail.com to arrange a time that works for you.

Weston A. Price Foundation Membership Drive:

The Weston A. Price Foundation is membership-supported. While membership isn’t required for chapter participation, without your membership, the Weston A. Price Foundation can not continue, and without the Foundation, neither will the chapter.

Please note that the president, Sally Fallon Morell, doesn’t receive a salary and neither do I as chapter leader. Membership income pays for operational costs and projects such as the podcast series and website, which are free to the public.

Discounted Membership Rates!

I encourage you to join while membership is discounted until the end of this month: $30 for United States members, or 8¢ a day, and $40 for international members; a reduction of $10. If you visit the Weston A. Price Foundation’s website, the most popular alternative nutrition website, please contribute. As members, you’ll receive a quarterly Wise Traditions journal!
