From the Editor: May 2015

Hi all,

As many of you have noticed, there was no newsletter in April and not much of one in February.  I have intentionally pulled back a little from doing all of the organizing and running of the Eugene Chapter WAPF in hopes of leaving space for someone else to take on more of a leadership role.   I have been busy at work and trying to catch up on goals in my personal life that have been neglected for far too long.

I want to thank Megan, Mareev and Cherie who have kept doing what they can to keep the Chapter running in my patchy absence.  I don’t know how much energy I can contribute in the upcoming months, so we still have room for another 2-3 people to step forward and take a greater role in this organization.  Let me know if this is you!  For now you will continue to receive as much of my time and energy as I can safely spare (and hopefully not more than I can spare).

May 11: Potluck & Cracker Demo

This is our first potluck since February!  I know it is short notice, but I hope that many of you will take this opportunity to join us for some food and fun!

Chef John Duran will demonstrate how to make flaxseed and herb crackers for us, and discus how to make delicious salad dressings for spring. Bring your cooking questions for him. He knows lots of shortcuts for you! He currently works with personal dietary management for his clients. He follows the dietary principles of Weston A. Price and uses fresh, local ingredients.

March Against Monsanto:

May 23rd is the annual March Against Monsanto held in cities around the world.  In Oregon there are events listed for: Albany,  Astoria, Madras, Medford, Portland  & Salem.  So far there is no listing for Eugene this year, but if anyone has more information please pass it on.

How to use this newsletter:

We recommend that you go to the newsletter homepage (eugenewestonaprice.org/newsletter) and scroll down to read everything.  Or you may click on individual links when provided to go directly to individual posts.  (If you ever find links that are not working, always check the newsletter for corrections).  Check the newsletter whenever you feel like it, as there are sometimes new posts available before I have sent out this announcement to the email list.

Enjoy!
